This page answers one part of “where should I stay”: what a night costs in each part of the city. The other part, how far each area is from the sights on foot, needs walking-time data we have not built yet. Until then we do not rank the areas.

How to read the table

  • Parish means freguesia, the smallest local unit in Portugal. Several Porto parishes were merged into one, so some names list more than one place.
  • Whole flat is a whole home or apartment. Private room is a room in someone else’s home.
  • These are prices people ask on Airbnb-style listings. They are not what guests paid, and they are not hotel rates.

What this page still needs

Not built yet: walking time from each parish to the main sights, hotel prices, and noise or night-life notes. When we have a source for each, this page will rank the areas. Until then, use the price table together with a map.

How we made this page

Prices are medians of listed nightly prices per parish from one Inside Airbnb snapshot. We drop a parish or a room type when it has too few listings to give a stable median. We do not have hotel rates or walking times yet, so this page does not say which area is best.

Research and first drafts are AI-assisted. Every figure comes from open data listed on the page with its source and date, and a person reviews each page before it goes live.
